Ebooks and summaries

Ebooks

Each subject's ebook is written for this course, chapter by chapter, with diagrams and figures from the lecture slides.

  • Ebooks lists every book. Opening one takes you back to the chapter you were last reading.
  • The contents list sits beside the chapter (on a phone, tap Contents at the top to open it). Chapters you've finished have a tick.
  • At the end of a chapter press Mark chapter complete, then use the button to go on to the next one. Finished chapters count towards readiness, today's plan and the leaderboard (10 points each).
  • Some books also list a PDF and Further reading links in the contents.

Summaries

A summary is one page per subject: the short version of the whole subject, for revising. Summaries lists them by block. The exam plan's last days often suggest a summary to skim.

Reading settings

Above every chapter and summary:

  • A− and A+ make the text smaller or larger.
  • Aa switches to Atkinson Hyperlegible, a font designed to be easier to read.
  • The printer button prints the page, or saves it as a PDF, without the menus and buttons.

Your choices apply to every book and summary, and are remembered.

The knowledge map and search can open a chapter at one heading. The heading flashes briefly so you can see where you landed.

Offline

Ebook chapters and summaries are part of the app, so they work offline once the app has loaded once.
